Mitchell 1 expands integration of RepairConnect

Mitchell 1 has expanded integration of its RepairConnect software with NEXIQ Technologies eTechnician HD diagnostic application, giving truck technicians instant access to diagnostic fault related service information on a PC platform.

Mitchell 1 RepairConnect has been accessible to NEXIQ users since 2013, the company says. The latest integration extends access to the diagnostic information from the NEXIQ Technologies scan tool to a desktop computer.

“We’re pleased to take the integration of RepairConnect with NEXIQ to the next level with the introduction into the eTechnician HD PC-based platform,” says Scott DeGiorgio, general manager of the commercial vehicle group for Mitchell 1.

“Having this additional resource at their fingertips will give technicians another way to access the information they need to repair trucks more efficiently and with more confidence, which is always our goal.”

The company says that a technician using eTechnician HD can access RepairConnect and retrieve DTC-related service information, including descriptions of trouble codes, related wiring diagrams, component connector views, electrical component locations, testing procedures, removal and installation procedures and DTC-related specifications. RepairConnect anticipates the detailed information required to fix the vehicle based on the DTC and retrieves it in seconds, the company says.
