Eaton added the Advantage series clutch to its remanufactured portfolio, the company announced Tuesday.
"By adding our popular North American-made Advantage clutch to our line of remanufactured components, we are offering our customers a more sustainable product that reduces the amount of material going to landfills," says Tim Bauer, vice president of the aftermarket for Eaton Mobility Group. "This is just another step in our commitment to the environment and offering our customers the products they demand for all vehicle life cycles."

Remanufactured Advantage clutches feature a unique strap drive intermediate plate design. The parts allow customers to choose the latest OE specification at a lower price point, the company says. Eaton will offer the clutches in seven part numbers to cover the majority of heavy-duty applications, including both self-adjust and manual adjust models.
Eaton says remanufactured Advantage clutches conform to the Manufactured Again certification process from MEMA, defined as manufacturing that is sustainable by definition and responsible by design.
"Remanufactured products maintain the same performance characteristics and provide customers of Eaton's remanufactured product portfolio with a cost-effective solution while offering a sustainability advantage," Bauer says. "In addition, remanufactured options carry market competitive warranties and provide superior performance for aging trucks on their late-life clutch replacement."
Eaton says its factory remanufactured products are backed by its Roadranger sales and service network.
