The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Autocar is recalling certain 2020-2026 DC (Legend) vehicles. The incorrect blower motor fuse may have been installed. An incorrect fuse may fail to trip, allowing the blower to short circuit and increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 1,000 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Forest River is recalling certain 2025 Coachmen Apex and Remote travel trailers. The solar panel wiring may be incorrectly wired to the battery, causing it to melt. Melted wiring may cause an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 69 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Isuzu Motors Limited is recalling certain 2025 NRR EV trucks. Due to a mix of incompatible coolants, debris may build up in the cooling system, causing the cooling pump to fail. A cooling pump failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 73 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Micro Bird is recalling certain 2023 G5 school buses. The u-bolts securing the suspension blades may break. A broken bolt may allow the suspension to shift or detach, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 102 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) is recalling certain 2024 Rizon FEC7K and FEC9K trucks equipped with turn signals integrated into the Koito headlights. The bulb socket may be defective, causing the front turn signals to burn out. Inoperative turn signals cannot show the driver's intentions to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 243 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Nova Bus is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS transit buses. The engine wiring harness may be the incorrect length, which can result in harness damage and a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 44 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Shyft Group is recalling certain Blue Arc BA4L-800 vehicles equipped with Aries LFP battery packs. The battery pack may be improperly sealed and allow liquid to enter the battery. Liquid intrusion into a battery pack can cause a loss of electrical isolation or short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire or shock hazard. NHTSA says 23 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2023-2026 New VN trucks. The hazard switch back lighting may become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays." A hazard switch that is not illuminated may be difficult to locate when needed, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. NHTSA says 5,257 units are potentially affected by the recall.
