Fontaine Modification introduced its first auto hauler conversion for Kenworth sleeper cabs.
Fontaine Modification

Fontaine Modification is offering a new conversion for Kenworth T880 and W990 76-inch midroof sleeper cabs. The conversion lowers the truck's height to 105 inches to accommodate a car carrier trailer.

This is Fontaine's first auto hauler modification for Kenworth models. It has engineered car carrier modifications for more than 20 years. The Kenworth designs deliver factory fit and finish, Fontaine says, and completed trucks meet FMVSS regulations.

"When it comes to vehicle transport, there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution," says Harrison Letchworth, Fontaine Modification vocational sales manager. "We thoroughly engineer, document and test our modifications so customers can rest assured that they'll deliver lasting quality. We applied our decades of experience and expertise to develop new auto hauler modifications for these popular Kenworth trucks."

For the auto hauler conversion, Fontaine lowers the truck height by 21 inches to deliver an overall height of 105 inches. The final cab height depends on vehicle specifications including wheel, tire or frame options.

The modification is performed on new Kenworth trucks as part of a ship-thru agreement with Kenworth. That makes the process seamless and cost-effective for customers, the company says.
