Peterbilt introduced a limited-production Freedom 250 Special Edition Model 589, honoring the enduring spirit of America and the nation's historic 250th birthday this year.
- Just 250 units will be built.
- The truck maker describes the production tractor as "both a collector's item and a bold statement of Peterbilt pride."
- Each comes with with a special "Stars & Stripes sleeper badge" on available 58-, 72- and 80-inch sleepers.
The Freedom 250 Special Edition showcases American pride from every angle, Peterbilt said in announcing availability. Other exterior features include Freedom 250-etched exhaust guards, a Texas square bumper and an exclusive Freedom 250 three-color paint scheme featuring Freedom Red and Freedom Blue metallic paint.
Inside, drivers are surrounded by superior comfort with their choice of Sandstone or Alpine Gray Platinum trim leels. In addition, the interior features custom black leather seats embroidered with the Freedom 250 logo in the headrest as well as a Freedom 250 commemorative badge on the dash.

It's available for order now exclusively through authorized Peterbilt dealerships through the end of the year.
