The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Aug. 29, 2022:
- Fourth-generation family members, Dominic, John and Mike Grote have acquired 100 percent control of Grote Industries. Dominic Grote will continue as CEO and president, while John Grote has been appointed chief operating officer, and Mike Grote continues in his role as general manager, Asia. Bill Grote, chairman of the board, and Buzz Grote will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as the third generation “hands the reigns” over to the fourth-generation leaders.
- Nikola Corporation announced two leadership changes. Pablo Koziner, current president, energy and commercial, has been named president, commercial; and Carey Mendes, current global head, energy finance, has been named president, energy. These appointments are effective immediately.
