Shelley Sheagley, senior vice president of product and pricing Aurora Parts & Accessories, was named the winner of the second annual Women in Leadership Award at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) Tuesday in Grapevine, Texas.

Sheagley was presented the award by Cummins’ Jason Soika and Tony Nastali, winner of the inaugural Women in Leadership Award in 2025.

In accepting the award, Sheagley was gracious and appreciative to the full house of attendees at the HDAW opening general session, noting how wonderful it is that the independent aftermarket continues to support and recognize diversity. Soika and Nastali said more than 30 women were nominated for this year’s award, a large uptick from last year and a great sign for the future of the award and industry.

“I am truly grateful for this recognition. I am grateful for those of you, my peers, who nominated me,” she said. “My friends in the industry who have supported me for so many years. I am just truly humbled to be up here accepting this award. Standing in front of a room with so many strong women in leadership positions. So many that have had an impact on me as I’ve grown up in this industry.“

Sheagley said she remembered when entering the industry how few women there were, and loves how much the aftermarket has evolved. She personally thanked early career mentors Jane Orr and Emily Poladian, and shouted all the women in the audience.

She also recognized the businesses in the audience for expanding their workforce and bringing in talented women, and said the continued long-term success of the independent aftermarket will rely on the continued diversity of its workforce.

Sheagley finally recognized Aurora Parts & Accessories, where she’s worked the past 22 years. Sheagley said she’s seen first-hand how the aftermarket is evolving in Aurora’s workforce, as three of its seven executive staff and many of its management leads are women.

Sheagley then spoke glowing of her Aurora team members, noting that for her to even be considered for the Women in Leadership Award is a testament to her team.

She closed, “Thank you for this honor. I truly appreciate it.”
