Former Congressman to speak at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and MacKay & Company have announced the title and description of the presentation to be given by Geoff Davis of Republic Consulting as part of the third-annual annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference.

Davis’ presentation, entitled “Politics, What Does It All Mean?” will present an in-depth look at the current priorities in Washington, including industry regulations, likely outcomes, and what to expect from the 114th congress.

The segment will be moderated by Ann Wilson, senior vice president, government affairs for the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). In keeping with the classic HDMA Dialogue format, attendees will be able to ask questions of the speaker during the final 15 minutes of the segment.

As one of three in HDMA’s Heavy Duty Dialogue sseries, HDAD will provide insight and a forward look at the heavy-duty aftermarket, with an introduction by Tim Kraus of HDMA, an aftermarket industry forecast with Stu MacKay, of MacKay & Company, and a market and economic outlook, with heavy-duty industry expert Dr. Robert Dieli, of RDLB, Inc. and financial expert, Bill Strauss, of the Chicago Federal Reserve, HDMA says.

HDMA adds that other topics that will be covered include:

  • The Evolution of Distribution: Not Your Father’s Aftermarket
  • How Changing Service Patterns Are Affecting the Aftermarket
  • The Evolving Role of eCommerce in the Aftermarket
  • The Fundamental Drivers of the Industry
  • An Industry Perspective

HDAD will be held Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at the Mirage in Las Vegas prior to the tenth Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week. HDAD registration includes printed conference books containing available presentation materials; breakfast, breaks, a networking luncheon, and the HDAW’15 All-Industry Reception — all intended to facilitate networking with industry peers, HDMA says. Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 to prepare for the conference’s start time of 8 a.m. Monday.
