Nextran Truck Centers has opened its new state-of-the-art truck center located northeast of Atlanta.
The 55,000 sq.-ft. facility houses both sales and service functions focused on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
“Duluth welcomes Nextran and its new truck center to Gwinnett County,” says Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris. “This brings jobs to our region and helps to continue our economic focus on a sustainable Gwinnett.”
The new location is the third Nextran Truck Center in the Atlanta area, and the largest, most technologically advanced site. It’s expected to create 80 new jobs, contributing to the economic growth of the region. The new Nextran Truck Center is strategically located near major highway interchanges, adding a flagship dealership and service center to the Southeast’s major transportation corridor.
“The Duluth location bolsters our network of Nextran Truck Centers in the region,” says Jon W. Pritchett, president and CEO, Nextran Corporation. “Geographically, Atlanta is a large, critical market and our new truck center will provide customers with more convenient access to transportation solutions.”
The Atlanta-area truck center’s service shop features 29 service bays and an overhead crane spanning 112 feet, with a separate area for repair of vehicles powered by natural gas. It also has a fast-tracked write-up service area, FSX DPF cleaning, quick lube bay, advanced diagnostic computer systems and factory trained personnel in all departments.
“Nextran is extending Mack’s penetration into this growing region of the country,” says Jonathan Randall, senior vice president of sales, Mack Trucks North America. “Nextran understands the importance of providing customers with the trucks and service capabilities needed to keep the industry moving.”
Last year Mack Trucks named Nextran as its Dealer of the Year for the prior year, and Nextran recently added five new heavy-haul Mack vehicles to its available lines.
