CIT Trucks debuts facility on I-80

CIT Trucks has opened its new full-service dealership in Peru, Ill., located at 2650 May Road, just east of CIT’s previous location.

CIT Trucks will continue to represent both Kenworth Truck Company and Volvo Trucks out of this new facility, offering new Class 5-8 vehicles, premium used trucks, parts and service to the highly traveled area at the intersection of major corridors I-80 and I-39 in north central Illinois.

CIT Trucks has served LaSalle-Peru and its surrounding communities since the Peru dealership location opened its doors in 1989. With many updated amenities, CIT says the new dealership boasts an expanded parts showroom and warehouse, additional service bays, available truck and trailer parking, an indoor truck showroom, along with convenient access to diesel fueling stations, lodging and food options.

“This is an exciting time of growth for our company. We are truly grateful for all of the support we receive from this community and our customers,” says Steve Aubry, vice president and dealer principal of CIT Trucks. “We look forward to the opportunity to better serve our customer base and continue to expand our offerings to the transportation industry.”

Conveniently located on I-80 frontage at Exit 75, this new 45,000 sq. ft. facility will warehouse over $1 million in parts inventory, while providing accelerated delivery times and expanded inventory options for CIT customers, the company says. With nineteen fully-equipped service bays, including two dedicated uptime lanes to provide truck diagnosis within one hour of arrival, the highly trained service staff will be able to reduce downtime for CIT customers.

“We are dedicated to supporting our customers and building long term relationships with them,” adds Erick Miner, president of CIT Trucks. “Peru along with our entire dealer network is committed to serving the heavy-duty truck industry with exceptional truck and parts sales along with service capabilities.”

CIT Trucks will host a Grand Opening event from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017. Kicking off with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a vendor expo with more than 20 industry partners in attendance, Ride’N’Drive opportunities for new Kenworth and Volvo models, exclusive parts specials and door prizes. Food and beverages will be served throughout the event, the company says.
