Hendrickson announced Monday it has launched a dealer Sales Academy that will complement the company's already popular Hendrickson Service Academy.
Hendrickson says its new academy is comprised of videos, assessments and related resources to help dealer salespeople understand the features and benefits, and specifications of Hendrickson products to help guide their customers in making the optimum ride solution choice.

The new academy will roll out in a phased approach starting with four truck products:
- HAULMAAX EX- Heavy-duty rubber suspension
- ULTIMAAX- Advanced severe-duty rubber suspension
- SOFTEK NXT- Integrated monoleaf suspension and steer axle system
- STEERTEK NXT- Fabricated front steer axle
Hendrickson says a variety of additional trucks suspensions, steer axles, trailer products, auxiliary lift axles, components, and other popular brands of Hendrickson, including W&C and Motor Wheel, will follow. Dealer salespeople will take a test at the end of each module and, after passing, will receive a certificate of completion.
“This endeavor complements our virtual training initiatives as the market is demanding the training flexibility, and travel has not fully returned to our industry,” says Jeff Sass, vice president, marketing, Hendrickson.
“Hendrickson has developed a training tool that provides a comprehensive review of their products. The format is quick hitting and yet detailed and repetitive to reinforce the material. Many suppliers provide training that is simplistic; Hendrickson’s requires the student to pay attention in order to pass the course. I recommend every truck salesperson take this training,” adds Matt Smart, director, fleet sales, Cumberland International.
The Hendrickson Sales Academy is now available online at: sales-academy.hendrickson-intl.com and is also available on the Hendrickson mobile app. Dealers who register and complete training in May 2021 will be eligible to win a $100 Visa Gift Card, the company says.
