More speakers confirmed for next Monday’s HD Aftermarket Dialogue

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and MacKay & Company announced Monday  that Ann Wilson, senior vice president of government affairs, MEMA, and Chris Spear, president and CEO, American Trucking Associations (ATA), will speak at the Trade Policy & Impact on the Industry session during next week’s Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD).

In the trade and policy session, HDAD organizers say Wilson will provide her expert insight on the commercial vehicle industry, including hidden challenges and opportunities, and the potential impacts of USMCA and China Section 301 tariffs. The USMCA presentation will cover the agreement’s ratification, progression, rules of origin with timeline, regulations, and requirements. Wilson will then provide attendees with a China Section 301 tariff update that will examine the history of Lists 1, 2, and 3 and what to expect in the future.

The session will then conclude with a trade issue conversation between Wilson and Spear, where they will exchange questions amongst themselves and members of the audience.

Additional HDAD sessions will feature individual presenters and executive panel discussions with primary topics that include:

  • The Real World: A Global Perspective
  • The Global Aftermarket Overview
  • Aftermarket Industry Economy & Outlook
  • The Blurring Lines of Aftermarket Distribution
  • Future Aftermarket Technology
  • Parts and Service: The Fleet Perspective

HDAD will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, in the Texas Ballroom at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. HDAD registration is now open. It is intended to facilitate networking with industry peers and will include digital presentation materials, breakfast, breaks, a networking luncheon, and the HDAW 2020 All-Industry Reception.
