TBC Brands, one of the largest distributors of private brand tires in North America, has announced the expansion of its commercial truck tire team.
David Smothers has joined as Field Sales Engineer and Dave Dugan as Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest Region, the company says.
“Both David Smothers and Dave Dugan bring significant industry experience in the truck tire segment to our growing sales team,” says Aaron C. Murphy, Vice President of Commercial Truck Tire Sales.
“We look forward to their contributions and have the utmost confidence that their experience and knowledge of the industry will assist with the expansion of many of our product lines including Sumitomo, Sailun and other TBR products while providing best-in-class services to our customers.”
With 19 years in the industry, Smothers held several technical and engineering positions with Continental Tire, most recently as the field sales engineer for Double Coin Tire. Smothers is based out of southern Illinois.
Dugan’s career spans more than 29 years of sales and management for tire manufacturers and organizations, including Kelly-Springfield, Treadways and TBC Corp. Dugan lives in Memphis, Tenn.
