Kevin Wheeler of K.W. Mechanical accepts his award as HDA Truck Pride’s Truck Service Expert of the Year.HDA Truck Pride has named K.W. Mechanical of Whitecourt, Alberta its Truck Service Expert of the Year.
The award was presented Friday during HDA Truck Pride’s annual meeting in Orlando.
Led by Kevin Wheeler, K.W. Mechanical is a Truck Service Expert working with Superior Industrial Friction, a HDA Truck Pride member in Edmonton, Alberta.
The two businesses have been successful partners for many years, and Wheeler says he has that partnership to thank for the award.
“It’s been great. It’s like having a group of guys out selling for you that aren’t even on your payroll,” says Wheeler. “They’ve helped us grow a lot.”
K.W. Mechanical has 10 employees at its location in Canada. Wheeler says business at the location has readily risen since joining the TSE program. It has been a welcome advantage for the business, he says.
“They’ve taken care of us 24/7,” he says. “Whenever we’ve had a problem they’ve been able to help us, and when they couldn’t do that they’ve always been able to find someone else to help us.”
Trevor Lutz of Superior Industrial Friction and Mark Willis, business development manager at HDA Truck Pride, presented Wheeler with the award.
Before the presentation, Willis encouraged HDA Truck Pride members to promote the Truck Service Expert program to its customers.
“We are the benchmark in the heavy-duty independent aftermarket with this program,” he says.
