New Western Global FuelCube fits in pickup

Western Global introduced the FuelCube Type-S on Tuesday.

It's a 119-gallon capacity tank that fits in the bed of a pickup. The company recommends a 3/4-ton truck or larger due to the weight when filled. Unlike slip tanks, contractors can lift the Type-S out of the truck using the tank's four-way forklift pockets. The tanks are also stackable when empty.

"The FuelCube Type-S propels Western Global into a new sector," says Jeff Lowe, vice president of product marketing at Western Global. "Operations have been using traditional slip tanks to refuel smaller diesel equipment fleets without the need for hazardous materials placarding, but they're looking for a more secure, user-friendly option. We are excited to expand our FuelCube line to offer an optimal solution for this market."

The FuelCube Type-S is made with weatherproof, double-walled containment that eliminates the need for pans or basins. It also reduces the potential of a fuel spill should the tank become damaged. The Type-S offers heightened security with a lockable equipment cabinet to protect the pump and lines.
