Eaton is now offering its Advantage automated series clutch and Cummins flywheel in a kit for the Endurant automated manual transmission, the company announced Tuesday.

"Today's manufacturers recommend flywheels should be replaced, rather than the previous practice of resurfacing worn flywheels," says Leandro Girardi, director of the aftermarket for Eaton's Mobility Group. "This ensures the flywheel fits correctly to engage with the clutch, and prevents fault codes, excessive wear and vibrations."
The Advantage Automated clutch is the original equipment clutch in the Endurant transmission.
"Replacing the clutch and flywheel at the same time has several benefits, including saving time, labor and eliminating the possibility of one of the components wearing out before the other," Girardi says.
