The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
- Altec Industries is recalling certain 2024 AT and TA series aerial devices, and ST series spray bodies. The fuel or brake lines may not be properly secured, which can cause the lines to become damaged and leak. A brake fluid leak can cause brake failure, increasing the risk of a crash. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 319 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Autocar is recalling certain 2022-2024 DC (Legend). The horizontal exhaust diffuser may be improperly positioned and vent exhaust toward the CNG fuel tank. Exhaust fumes can overheat the fuel tank, increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 80 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Chrysler is recalling certain 2019, 2021-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. Due to a software malfunction, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module may disable the electronic stability control system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems." Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 1,227,808 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- E-One Incorporated is recalling certain 2022-2023 Cyclone 2, 2022-2024 Cyclone N, and Typhoon N vehicles. The engine crossmember may break, allowing the cooling fan to contact the fan shroud and become damaged. A damaged cooling fan can result in an engine stall while driving and increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 28 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Great Dane Trailers is recalling certain 2025 Everest SS refrigerated trailers. The support gear bracing mounts may have been welded improperly. An improperly welded support gear bracing mount can lead to the trailer collapsing, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 453 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Jayco is recalling certain 2023-2025 Entegra Ethos, Ethos LI, Arc, Jayco Swift, Swift LI, and Comet motorhomes. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 111, "Rear Visibility." A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 1,245 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Kentucky Trailer Manufacturing is recalling certain 2022-2024 (KTB) MV and PV truck bodies. The upper cargo area floor may not be secured properly, which can allow the crossmembers to loosen and detach. Crossmembers that detach can fall off the truck body, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 1,439 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Nova Bus is recalling certain 2010-2020 LFS Artic and 2012-2024 LFS vehicles. The driver's seat belt may not retract properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies." A seat belt that does not retract properly may result in a loose seat belt, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash. NHTSA says 1,575 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Nova Bus is recalling certain 2023 LFS Artic and 2023-2024 LFS vehicles. The instrument panel may fail to display the speedometer or incorrectly display warning lights, due to defective firmware. In addition, the firmware may result in a loss of drive power. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS numbers 101, "Control and Displays." An instrument panel that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, can increase the risk of a crash. A loss of drive power also increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 179 units are potentially affected by the recall.
