GenNext and the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) have opened the nomination period for the 2022 4 Under 40 Awards.
GenNext developed the 4 Under 40 Awards program in 2018 to recognize younger individuals for their outstanding commitment to the heavy-duty independent aftermarket industry. All industry professionals are welcome to nominate someone for the 4 Under 40 award, and all young men and women who are demonstrating involvement, innovation and commitment within the aftermarket who will be under 40 years of age on April 30, 2022, are eligible for this year’s honors.
“It is great to be back in person after the pandemic and we are excited to have the 4 Under 40 Awards back in the fold. This is a great way to highlight some of the young talent that this industry has,” says Nick Seidel, of Action Truck Parts and president of GenNext. “Being a young professional in the heavy-duty aftermarket, I and GenNext are excited to share the successes of our industry with all the applicants and finalists.”
The young professionals chosen from this year’s nominees will represent the best of the independent aftermarket, and will be honored at the CVSN Aftermarket Distribution Summit June 4-8, in Lake Tahoe, Calif. The 4 Under 40 Awards are sponsored by Trucks, Parts, Service.
Prior winners include Nikki Paschall, Ian Johnston, Steve Hansen, Nick Tosie in 2018; Sean Ryan, Kate Diecks, Jerry Conroy and Megan Vincent in 2019.
GenNext says the award program is free to enter, and self-nominations are encouraged. Distributor, supplier, marketing group, media and association management employees are eligible for the award. Judging criteria for nominees will include:
- Under the age of 40 (as of April 30, 2022).
- Currently employed within the heavy-duty aftermarket industry.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities.
