TransChicago Truck Group is branching out into northern Indiana, taking over the former Truck City dealership in Gary, Ind.
“Expanding into northern Indiana makes perfect sense for us,” says TransChicago CEO Doug Cayce. “Our new Gary location will allow us to better serve our customers more consistently throughout the greater Chicagoland area.”
The move, which brings the company to three dealerships, also offers more options to local customers, Cayce says, for continued truck sales, parts and service operations.
“And we are now even better able to assist our on-highway customers with an additional easy-to-access location for parts and service,” he adds.
Venturing into Indiana, Cayce says, fits with the company’s pattern of growth.
In 2014, he says the company grew its parts and service operations in Shorewood, Ill., by tripling the size of that facility and will soon kick off a major renovation to its Elmhurst location.
