Central Valley Truck Center name changed

Central Valley Truck Center, which has been owned by the Howard and Pollack families since 1980, is now solely owned by the Pollack family.

This change separates the Freightliner/Western Star brands from the Mack/Volvo brands. To reflect the change, the dealership has been renamed Affinity Truck Center.

“The Pollacks have been great partners over the years and have done an outstanding job representing the brands,” says former owner Doug Howard. “It is exciting to see the new direction they are taking. We wish them nothing but the best.”

“The name Central Valley Truck Center was based on geography and didn’t truly capture who we are as a company today,” saya Kim Mesfin, co-owner of Affinity Truck Center. “Our new name – Affinity Truck Center – reflects our values of putting customers and employees first. Their success drives our success.”

Located in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Affinity Truck Center is a truck sales and service dealer, selling Mack, Volvo and Autocar trucks. Affinity Truck Center offers a complete line of new and used trucks with access to more than 4,000 active trucks at all times through its trusted dealer network. The company also offers leasing and rental services as well as flexible financing options.

The new name is effective immediately. Affinity Truck Center will continue to operate in its current locations in Fresno, Bakersfield, Paso Robles and Salinas, and its phone numbers will remain the same. The company’s new website address is www.affinitytruck.com.

James Pollack has been vice president of Central Valley Truck Center for the past 30 years specializing in management, truck specifications and sales. Kent and Amy Pollack have been working in the lease/rental and financing arm of the business for 25 years, and Kim (Pollack) Mesfin has been in operations management for the past 14 years.
