Updated Nov 2, 2017

M&K Truck Centers announced Wednesday the successful acquisition of Wilkes-Barre Truck Center today as the first M&K dealership in Pennsylvania. Wilkes-Barre Truck Center has been serving Eastern Pennsylvania as a Volvo dealership for 40 years.

With the acquisition, M&K says it is expanding its mid-west dealer group to Pennsylvania and is currently offering Service (including warranty), Parts, Parts Delivery, Sales and Leasing for Volvo trucks from their new location at 525 East Main Street, Wilkes Barre, PA 18702. M&K says it is honored to represent Volvo trucks in this important market and will bring the M&K commitment to customer satisfaction to Pennsylvania for the Volvo brand.

The addition of Wilkes Barre Truck Center increases M&K’s footprint to 15 locations across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

“We are continuing our strategic vision for continued growth as we expand into Pennsylvania. We look forward to serving the Wilkes-Barre area with top-notch customer service and a wide range of available products and services. We have already added highly qualified service technicians to our team and will immediately increase our workforce even further by hiring additional dedicated people” says Ron Meyering, M&K’s President.

The new facility in Wilkes Barre has an extensive parts warehouse, nine service bays and is well stocked in preparation of customer needs. Additionally, M&K says parts delivery to the Wilkes-Barre and extended areas, mobile service and longer hours are available for convenience. Parts and Service are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

“Our employees are excited to be joining M&K Truck Centers because of M&K’s reputation as an award winning, family oriented dealer group. They are looking forward to a bright future and to learning industry best practices & policies that M&K already has in place – this will help us to grow the business and we are thrilled to becoming part of such a successful organization. Our customers will benefit from the added sales options M&K Truck Centers brings to Pennsylvania and their experience in the industry” says George Farrell, general manager of M&K’s new Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania location.
