As some of the most essential businesses in the supply chain, truck dealers recognized within the Successful Dealer Award program stand out for their customer outreach and service excellence, technical aptitude, corporate efficiency, employee engagement, community stewardship and more.
This year’s finalists are Housby, Kenworth of Louisiana, Premier Truck Group, Tom’s Truck Center and West Michigan International.
This is the first time Kenworth of Louisiana and Tom’s Truck Center have been finalists for the Successful Dealer Award. Housby and West Michigan International were prior finalists in 2020; Premier Truck Group was a finalist in 2021. Together, these businesses represent more than 50 points of sale across the United States and Canada, and support Ford, Freightliner, Fuso, Isuzu, Hino, International, Kenworth, Mack and Western Star trucks.

“We have a wonderful mix of candidates up for our 2023 Successful Dealer Award and we’re excited to share their stories with our industry,” says TPS Editor Lucas Deal. “With prior finalists and newcomers, this group is a wonderful cross-section of today’s truck dealer industry. We have family-owned operations, medium-duty experts, large multi-national entities and representation across the OEM spectrum. All of these businesses earned their place in our 2023 program due to their comprehensive excellence.”
Competition for the 2023 Successful Dealer Award was stiff. Two prior winners and ten prior finalists were among the 34 dealers nominated for the award — the second-most number of dealers nominated in the program’s 11-year history.
Finalists for this year’s program will be profiled on TPS in the coming months and the 2023 Successful Dealer Award winner will be announced during the program’s exclusive dealer summit on Oct. 10, in Nashville.
Attendance to the Successful Dealer Award Summit is limited to current award finalists and prior winners. The two-day event is a meld of high-level industry presentations, open business discussion and elite networking opportunities. Award finalists are provided all-inclusive registration for the event, while all onsite expenses are covered for prior award finalists.
