MOTOR sets webinar for PartSaver program

MOTOR Information Systems has scheduled a webinar for its PartSaver program for Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. EDT and repeated on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. EDT.

PartSaver, a data cleansing service that reduces erroneous or invalid truck parts information in Master Parts Databases, helps establish valid, relevant part numbers associated to industry manufacturers and/or suppliers using MOTOR’s All-Makes truck part databases.

The company says PartSaver helps validate and enhance parts information by incorporating accurate part numbers by brand, with standardized part descriptions and applying the VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards) code for maintenance and parts use tracking.

PartSaver saves as much as 15 percent per part transaction time when looking up, ordering and completing the procurement process. Inventory duplication may also be reduced, saving an average 20 percent of total inventory costs.

“MOTOR’s PartSaver service provides more efficient parts information for parts retailers, distributors or fleet managers to better manage purchasing decisions,” says Kevin Carr, MOTOR Information Systems President. “With the additional FleetCross parts interchange and VMRS codes supporting the cleansed Master Parts Database, purchasing departments can use this information to shop around for better pricing and create usage reports by part type.”
