University of the Aftermarket to present Aftermarket 101 program in June

The University of the Aftermarket will present its annual “Aftermarket 101” program June 10-11, 2014 at Federal-Mogul’s headquarters in Southfield, Mich.

The University says the program is specifically created for new employees in the automotive or heavy-duty aftermarket and will provide a better understanding of the industry, its structure and trends.

This annual program is offered in partnership with the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association. Typical attendees have less than one year in the industry and represent a diverse range of job functions and companies. During the day-and-a-half program, the University says participants will be exposed to key information about the aftermarket, its history, scope, market channels, customers and trends.

The University says specific subjects include:

Registration is $650 for both days and includes lunch and all materials, the school says. To register, interested parties can visit www.universityoftheaftermarket.com, click “Course Calendar” and then choose the June 10-11 “Aftermarket 101” program, or call 800.551.2881. Special rates apply for companies sending more than three employees. Additionally, for those requiring travel to the event, special hotel rates have been negotiated near Federal Mogul. Participants will receive 1.2 credits toward completion of their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations, the school says.
