Summit Holdings opens Peak Trailer Group as Wabash National dealer

Earlier this month it was announced that Summit Holdings entered into an agreement with Wabash National Corporation to provide sales, parts, and service for Wabash National dry and refrigerated van trailers and truck bodies, as well as Transcraft and Benson platform trailers in the entire states of Texas and Oklahoma, as well as northern Louisiana.

Summit has partnered with Southwest International, based in the Dallas metroplex, and Kyrish Truck Centers, based in south Texas – to form Peak Trailer Group, operating out of locations in Dallas and San Antonio.  In this new partnership, Peak is supported by more than 60 locations across the Summit, Southwest and Kyrish footprint.

Summit and Peak Trailer Group CEO Justin Fink says, “We are thrilled that Russ Trimble, owner of Southwest International, and the Kyrish Family, owners of Kyrish Truck Centers, have partnered with us to form Peak Trailer Group. All owners of Peak have more than 30 years of experience in this industry, with long term employees who have developed deep customer relationships and outstanding reputations for customer service in their respective markets. We are all excited to be representing Wabash National, an innovative leader in the transportation business. Adding trailers and truck bodies to our existing lineup of trucks is a natural fit, and I expect this to be well-received by current and future customers.”

Bobby Briggs has been named president of Peak Trailer Group and will be in charge of all Peak Trailer Group operations. He will report to Summit’s CEO Justin Fink, who will also serve as CEO of Peak Trailer Group.

The three companies that have partnered to form Peak have more than 150 years of combined experience in the trucking industry. More importantly, they all share a business model that focuses on the customer experience, and each company has developed an employee-centric culture.”
