Jim Moss, founder and past publisher of Truck Parts & Service, has been honored with the President’s Award by the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) at its Aftermarket Distribution Summit Monday in Newport, R.I.

Moss spent five decades in the heavy-duty aftermarket, and was instrumental in the creation of not just Truck Parts & Service, but also the Council of Fleet Specialists (CFS), CVSN and Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week.

Moss was unable to attend Monday’s award presentation, so his daughters Patricia and Karen accepted the award on his behalf.

“Thank you so much. We would like to accept and acknowledge this tribute you’ve awarded our father,” Patricia said. “He gave his heart and soul to this industry … If he were here today he’d extend his thanks.”

Truck Parts & Service also will run an extended feature with comments from Moss and congratulating him for his achievements in this month’s issue.
