Rush Enterprises, Inc. is holding its ninth annual Tech Skills Rodeo in San Antonio this week.

More than 900 participants completed 2,000 tests to compete for a spot at the onsite event, with 150 semi-finalists making it to onsite competition at the Grand Hyatt.

This year, the company added a parts division to allow parts counter representatives to showcase their skills.

More than 40 sponsors and 18 contributors are participating, and the exhibitor fair includes 46 participating companies.

All award winners will be named at the recognition dinner Tuesday night.

There are 19 competition categories. In heavy-duty contestants will compete on Cummins, Eaton, Paccar MX, MaxxForce and Allison units.

Medium-duty competitors will test on Hino, Isuzu Peterbilt and International trucks. Contestants in the Specialty category will compete on bus, refuse, body repair and paint repair.

Parts contestants face challenges from Peterbilt, International, Hino, Isuzu and Ford.
